Photos from the Garden and Flower Show at Gardens by the Bay.
Part of the temporary structures for the Garden Show this year. Some of the displays were outdoors, some partially indoors like under this structure and some totally indoors with air conditioning. The show covered a large section of Gardens by the Bay consisting of more than 70 displays over 9.7 hectares.
This is my favorite photo from this post. Mother and daughter I assume, holding hands and admiring the flower art. When its crowded and the lighting is making it difficult to get a good pic of the flowers, this sort of shot is what I go for and sometimes I think its even better than just having a shot of the flowers alone. This was at an indoor air conditioned display, there must have been a dozen or more displays in this one area.
Beautiful floral display with pine branches creating a dramatic backdrop. These displays are about 8 feet tall and 12 feet wide.
I need to weave one of these "eggs" for my backyard dining table :)
I was excited for this photo but it didn't work out the way I had hoped. It was a white crimped fan with flowers in the middle and a mirror so when you looked in you saw yourself. You can almost make out my blurred camera selfie in the center. It was going to be my new profile photo for this blog... bummer! Excellent table top flower design.
Lots of photographers at the show.
Another one of my favorite displays. A regular size pot with a ferry garden.
The waterways had spinning giant flower displays, gorgeous. Sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, must have been 250 degrees outside. yuck.
I was ready to jump in that water to save myself from heat stroke.
Beautiful flowers...
more beautiful flowers...
and more beautiful flowers.
And one handsome husband!
Happy Friday!!!
